IS IT NORMAL TO HAVE BLOODSHOT EYES AFTER EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
After your lash extension appointment, you may experience red, bloodshot eyes which is quite common and do not be concerned as this is only temporary. The fumes that are produced as the adhesive begins to dry may cause discomfort. As soon as you open your eyes, these gases react with the moisture is the air, causing watery, red eyes at the end of your lash appointment.
If you have an allergic reaction to your extensions, please contact your lash artist and/or seek medical attention.
CAN I USE MASCARA ON MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
We strongly recommend avoiding the use of mascara on the eyelash extensions as you don’t want to disturb the adhesive bond that your lash extensions has to your natural lashes.
CAN I GET MY LASH EXTENSIONS WET?
In the first 24 hours after your treatment, the lash artist will urge you not to get your lashes wet at all. It's also a good idea to avoid saunas, steam rooms, and sunbeds for at least 48 hours thereafter, and to use an oil-free make-up remover. Shower as usual after 48 hours but avoid standing directly under the shower head with your face up because the pressure may damage the extensions. Additionally, avoid rubbing your eyes with the towel afterward. Instead, pat your skin dry and avoid pulling around your eye area.
HOW CAN I PROTECT MY LASH EXTENSIONS AT NIGHT?
While it's tough to avoid disturbing your lash extensions while you're sleeping, there are a few things you can do to minimise damage. To avoid crushing one side of your face and harming your lashes, place pillows around your head to act as a barrier. Also, try to avoid sleeping on your stomach as this effects retention levels too.
